Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Annoying Window Problem

    Ok so this started when i got my cb, my passenger window would go down but would not come back up, even using both of the switches nothing just down no up. I took it to some guy and payed 40 to get it fixed, worked perfect for like 3 weeks and it's back to the same but not as severe. The window goes down perfectly but it goes back up when it wants to or after like 40 tries on the switch. what could this be?, getting annoying, if its the switch can i buy like one of the 3 prong switches and use that? Or is the motor to blame? Thanks for the help in advance.

    Do you hear the motor clicking? Is it trying to go up but just cant? Or does nothing happen at all?

    could be switch, motor, regulator, window channel.

    if it goes down but no up i wouldn't think motor
    the window channel on my drivers side needs replaced and it has a problem going up sometimes. spray some wd40 in the chanel and see if it helps

      most likely its the motor followed by the regulator.

      Id replace them both at once. ebay got em for 40

        Yeah i can hear the motor trying but nothing, i have to flick the switch up and down and after about 40 tries it goes up,lol. Ebay? Ok im check that out.

          Found the problem! i decided to take apart the switch and viola! The little prongs and contacts where filthy, i decided to cleand them out and it works like a charm. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
