Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    what is everyones in put on a short ram intake and what will it do 4 me ???

    makes it more growley, maybe helps mpg 1-2mpg and small hp/tq increase.
    check to see if you have to oil the filters tho when you buy.

        short ram intakes are more for the low-end to mid range power and torqe and the cold air intakes are for the top end. cold air normally gets u a better HP increase due to the fact they get the cold air fron the front bumper.

        colder air= denser air= more HP.

        short ram intakes are sometimes better b/c of the climate. if you live in an area where it rains alot then it would be best for you to get a short rams. water in the engine is never a good thing. you could hit a puddle water will get suck up into it. but AEM has a part on their cold air intakes called a "bypass valve". you could put the intake in a bathtube full of water but the water would never get into the intake

          i live in tennessee so i guess it would be better alot of times ... what can i do to make my short ram better?

            its not really possible is it? except maybe you get a bigger filter, but not too big. Just make one man. all it is for a short ram is a bent tube and a filter, plus youd have to drill holes for the sensors and shit but damn, why didnt i make one?

                not alot of people have the know-how or the tools to make a short ram intake. plus some just use the stock tubing and take off the air box and put a filter on it. thats kind of pointless to do that. you may have a better flowing filter but what about the tubing? the aftermarket tubing is alot wider than the stock one.

                    Aww 33?. I paid $28 from mine off ebay. I can tell you now, it doesnt really give you THAT much of an increase but you can still feel something other than stock. Also car might sound a little noisier, but thats fine cause thats normally how it should sound with a short ram...

                        no of course id get the aluminum tubing... or i could buy one off ebay.
                        hell itll probably be cheaper to buy it off ebay than to make one.
