Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    I need help my car is doing something really weird!!

    Whats up guys i am so thankful that this site is here everytime i have a problem you guys help me fix it this time i have a problem and im not sure what to do i think i got some bad gas the other day my car is putting or skipping alot when i crank it up and for about 5 or 6 miles after i drive it, its crazy i give it gas and it starts jumping its kind of hard to explain but i raised the hood and when it jumped i heard a noise coming from around the fuel injectors back that way it was like a click well sort of like a click lol any ways i changed the oil and put some all in one fuel system cleaner in and i put some fuel injecotor cleaner in it is still doing it i dont know if the fuel injectors are bad of if i need to change the fuel filter i dont know where the fuel filter it at, or if i need to change the spark plugs or whatever i need to do if you guys could help me out i would really appreciate it thanks so much peace!!!!

    ok so like if you get going for i while the car in a sense seems to lurch out i just ahd this problem a week ago and i to though soemthing to do with fuel. . . turns out it was the distributor you probably need to get that checked out.

      well nows the time to go high performance on your distributor if thats the problem.

        Jump as in stutter? Does your tach jump with it. Sounds like maybe clogged injector or so. My old motor had a stutter and turns out one of the injectors were clogged. Injector cleaner didnt fix it. But does it do it when you drive or only idling? When I get bad gas my shit would stall and run like crap + backfire like a mofo. If you know you got bad gas waste some of it first go to a GOOD GAS STATION and throw in some midd grade and see if that fixes it.

          As for the problem itself... As Nail asked, does the tach move with the lurch? Does it do it when it shifts? We need more information to help, really... If it's internal, it could be a fuel or spark issue (and could potentially be causing major damage). If it's external, it could be busted motor mounts. It could also be transmission related.

            Could be an o2 sensor. Like others have said, hard to diagnose without more information.
