ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    help please

hi my car is giving me problems and i dont know where to start. It acts like the battery is dead, because the battery dies and make a clicking nosie. It doesn't even attempt to crank over. The car runs fine when jump started, or when the battery is charged. But once I kill the engine, and try to start it again it will not start, i took in to part source twice and both thimes my battery tested fine and i also tested my alternator. well the last time i took it the car worked good for a bout 2 weeks now and yesterday i went out to start it and the car started fine 2 times then the third time i started my car it ended up choking and it cut out and since then it will not start if its jump start it just cranks over and over im assuming a fuel problem now but im still trying to fugure out why my battery keeps dying let alone now why it wont start. i dont know if this has anything to do with the battery dying but i put in projection light and one of my singnal bulbs cracked in half with the base stll in the socket i havent had time to repalce it because that involves taking off the bumper,, may this be causing my battery to keep drying?

    please help
    thank you

I've had the same problem........ there is a black box next to the fuse box..... all I did was shake that and it was fine... Later on I tightened up everything around there and it was fine. I also sprayed wd40 all around that area.

Not sure if its the same solution for you, but you can give it a try.

if your car is just cranking and not starting. it could be your main relay. its common problem with hondas will work in the morning and when it gets hot it won't start. theres acutually a TSB out on it.
that ralay controls your fuel and ignition so check it out before you start spending loads of money.

the TSB says that when the terminals get too hot they fracture and they don't make contact when they're too warm. and then when it cools down and contracts the cantact meet and everything works fine for a short time.
        word...

          Hey
I am having the same issues. It also started whwn I installed some subs. When I turn the key to start it, all the lights go dim and I get a clicking from the starter. I changed out both positive and negative cables, and it started good ONE time! then back to clicking. I think its the starter, but am holding off to see if I can search anymore on this site. Did you fix yours, or is it still acting up? Thanks

first start and make sure all ur grounds are in good condition and they are all connested properly ,alternator, starter, and battery.try testing ur main fuel relay it kinda sounds like u blew a fuse.get a light tester and go over ur fuel and spark wiring that sometimes leads u 2 the prob good luck.

K Its gotta be electrical. I was out in the garage trying to trouble shoot it. I wiggled the starter relay and tried it. The neg terminal was sparking and popping then the starter went and fired right up. I will have to get a new starter relay see if thats it. Can I check it? The manual says I have to take it to a shop to check relays. Ill just replace it and hope. Any more opinions? thanks you guys are awesome

I would think a short in the wiring would cause it to spark and pop like that. Its all new wiring on the battery side. Maybe somewhere else?

ok.. this happened to me a while back.. all i did was replace the alternator.. even though it tested good at the parts store it doesn't mean that it is charging because once your battery is dead the alternator will not charge it back to full capacity. all i did was check that the alternator was putting out enough voltage to the battery and of course it wasn't even though it tested good. try it and see what happens. and also make sure you leave your battery charged on a charger overnight at a deep cycle.

I have to get this going for a trip to idaho in the morning! suck. Just got back in, When the keys in the ON position all the lights are on full blast in the dash, then turn it to start and they all do dim, when it returns to ON lights stay dim and neg cable on batt starts getting hot. K back in again, I have power to the starter solinoid (BLK/WHT wire) when turning key to start. I have replaced the starter today with a junk yard model. It would be a terrible coincidence if its still the starter, but I have no idea, come on guys
