ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Lug nuts stripped

One snapped off during removal. That leaves me with 3. and now that im putting the tire back on 2 wont spin all the way flush. Do i just grab the 4 way iron and force them on further stripping the screws or what. what is the part that i need replaced getting 4 new screws would be preffered. are these tapped in?

you need new wheel studs. sounds like you are using the wrong lug nuts or just cross threading them. later.

for future notice. always thread by hand and then use cross bar or lug wrench to tighten with hands. i never use an impact gun. i've never heard of anyone having problems that way. i've heard of ALOT of problems with people using impact guns to tighten lugs and ripping off studs or cross threading. very costly in the end for such a simple mistake

you need the lug studs replaced. its pretty easy.. just knock the old ones out and put the new ones on. just thread the lug nuts on by hand till you can't no more and then torque them down to about 90 lbs if they are aftermarkets and a little more if stock.

Well, maybe morons with impact guns. Torquesticks are your friend. And if you do use an impact gun, with or without a torquestick, always start the lug nuts (well, any nut or bolt) by hand. I can thread bolts with an air tool all day, but you WILL end up crossthreading one.

ah yes i believe i was cross threading. my fault for taking shortcuts. well lesson learned its just i feel silly. I turned a simple sway bar link installation into a more costly job. I have to slow down and start them up by hand. Then follow through with the iron. thanks guys
