ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    balance shaft ?

Hey guys. Im putting my engine back together and I have my head on and put the timing and balance shaft belts on. Everything is checking into tolerance, but I have a question about my balance shafts. I can grab the pulley on both shafts and pull them a small amount out and then back in. The distance is minimal just enough to make a clicking noise. Both shafts move about the same distance and have the same clicky sound. Is this common or is it out of spec. If it is out of spec I can just remove the belt right.

If its out of spec, You can just take the belt off. But thats rarely the case. I believe the ones I worked with had Slight or minimal play. But nothing to be alarmed over.

If you want to take them out completely you can go to kaizen speed and get their kit to eliminate the shafts.

Ok, they dont seem bad, I dont think it will do too much really. If they do then I will just take the belt off. I'm really not wanting to take them out on this since it was just a stock put back together. My h22/f22 hybrid will not have them in it and the bottom end will be completely balanced out so I shouldn't have much to worry about there... right now Im just trying to get the lude rolling again... Yup, I come here for f22 help b/c this forum is full of people who love the f series and dont just post "save for a h22" My boosted f22 has been amazing
