ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    02 sensor problems, please help....

A Bosch was all that was available. Check the previous post. I am getting four long blinks. I cannot find a code 40 anywhere?

i did read, thus why i posted. you first post code 41 which is indeed what you stated. then you go and say code 40

and you are sure its just 4 long blinks and not one short one?

is it the universal one that you have to splice in? or the "oem"

the problem lies within the o2 sensor, i am speaking from experience, if you go with a ntk or denso o2 you should be good to go

my bad, I had a code 41 before I changed the sensor. The light was still on after replacing it and clearing the ECU. I assumed the 41 was still there. I just went out and rechecked it. 4 long blinks. No short ones. So is this a code 1 and what is that?

The blink and the pause appear to to last the same duration. So blink, pause, etc. It cycles 4 times.

Sorry no vid available. After thinking through the process, it must be a code one. Are the Bosch sensor's that bad? I am trying to sell the car and that is all that was available on hand. I could special order a different brand. This is holding up the sale of the car. What about the connectors up by the strut tower on the pass side of the car? Any known problems with them?

grab one from a junkyard if you can just for the sale

and you reset the ecu by removing the 7.5 fuse? how long did you have it out for?

I have let it sit for at least 10 minutes each time. I have thought about the wrecking yard swap before. BTW, thanks for the help.

your welcome. i would suggest just picking one up from a junkyard, and just throwing it in there since you are selling anyway

disconnect the negative battery cable and see if that erase it. then drive it around and see if the code comes back

I would suggest to clear the code, test drive it, and if it does not recode, then it is fine. but if it does recode, then you may have another problem, such as fuel supply system.
