ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

On it, in it, in the trunk... I put an H22 head on a shelf in my basement! The best way to put an H22 head in a CB7 is to do it while attached to an H22 block.

Search for "frankenstein" and you'll probably find a few threads about it in the swaps forum.

The bottom line is: why put a head that benefits from a 7500 RPM redline and 10.0:1 compression on a block that's made to rev to 6500 and has 8.8:1 compression? The H22 in stock form makes peak power above the stock F22A redline. The F22A block CAN rev that high, but I wouldn't trust an old one to do so.

      Just buy an H22.

or if you want a head swap do a H23 or F22b(DOHC non-VTEC) head swap.

well what do you know.. this is where that leads me !!! hehehe.. ok did some research and i know how to do the swap and all.. but if it was done and all new mains and rod bearings installed.. would the motor hold up ??? i don't have the funds to get a h22 block and would like to do this setup since i haven't done one on a f22a block yet...

sorry to invade this post but i figured i might as well just ask instead of creating a new post !!

At least your questions make sense!

I've been told that the f22 internals CAN take the stress... but I'd still be a bit uneasy about it. The difference in compression will have a considerable impact as well. Either get yourself an H22 bottom end, or get some forged rods and high-compression pistons for the F22 block.
