Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Help!!!!!!!!!

    ok, i have a 90 accord Lx. Today, my check engine light came on, and when i stopped my idle shots way down. My car almost stalls out. But when i hit the gas i have no prob. The fuel on it was real low on it, and last night i went to get gas and this mourning it started doing it. I dont know if the fuel filters clogged or any thing. Ive been searching threw the haynes manual but haven't really seen any thing in there for it.

          well do u have any difficulty starting the car in hot/humid weather?
          do you feel that you hit acceleration flat spots?

          if you answered "yes" to at least one of these questions...you may wanna think about buying a new Main Relay...i know from experiance.
          a new main relay cost me 50-60 at NAPA...

            not every problem is the main relay. it could be your pcv, iac, and yes a fuel filter. you just have to go down the list until you find the problem and see if you can repair it but like what cb7ghost said if you threw a CEL pull the code and most likely youll solve your problem.

                Yea, It is an easy fix, and Mos auto parts stores electronic components suck.

                I fixed my friends 1992 integra's main relay.....no biggie. take it apart, solder the connections. put it back.

                  Change the fuel filter anyways...probably never.

                    MFR...and change your fuel filer

                    ( Main Fuel Relay / Fuel Filter )

                    and when you do that...do this

                    run some seafoam through your brake booster to clean out the carbon buildup!

                    this is the brake booster hose you're suppose to take off....



                    get a measuring cup...and put 1/3rd of seafoam in a cup..let the hose sip it until it starts to stumble..it will shut off...then let it sit for about 5-15 minute ( enough to disolve the carbon )...now..when you come back...reconnect the hose..and crank it..and let it start it...it will stumble a little..but give it some gas....then drive it onto the freeway or just drive it at partial or WOT until theres no more smoke coming through your exhaust.
                    92 LX. A6 with GUDE bullfrog Cam. M2S4 transmission..Gutted H23 intake mani. The rest you will just have to find out!

                        sounds like a tune up to me fuel filter, plugs, wires, ect. but the seafoam trick is the cheapest and a good way to start. or like me RUN THE SHIT OUT OF IT!!!!

                          Thanks guys. I need to replace the tps on it. And plugs and wires are newish, About a year old. Fuel filter will be done when i get money. But bigger probluems are lurking. Trans mission is ating up hard core. Withc ill be posting a new thread on that.
