ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

on the right side of the interior, down below the dashboard, theres a panel. take if off and you will see a blue plug. jumper that plug with a wire and turn on acc on the key position. see how many times it blinks, and come back here and we'll tell you whats wrong.

      EDIT:
If you have a Hanyes manual it can tell you step by step how to check it out, but any to make thinks go quick : The diagnostic connector is located under the passenger side glovebox behind the kick panel. To activate the diagnostic codes, bridge the terminals with a jumper wire or paper clip, then turn the ignition to the ON postition.

What if the check engine lights comes on only after you drive it for a while that is what mine does. So if i turn the car off and then turn it back on the the check light doesn't come on right away. Will i still be able to bridge the terminals and get a code.

OBD1 rocks I always have a paperclip handy just in case!

I believe there's a list of codes in the Technical section as well. Long flashes are 10, short are 1, long pauses are breaks between codes. Keep counting until you get a repeat code (there may be more than one thing wrong).

The code will repeat. Long pauses indicate breaks between codes. When you see the same code twice, that's all you get.

Also, for the CEL that comes on only after driving for a while, and doesn't come back when you restart... I'm willing to bet that it's a bad oxygen sensor. The code will come up as the one for "fuel supply system", which is odd... Code 43, if I remember correctly. Many people have fixed it by replacing the oxygen sensor. Mine started doing that after a summer of sitting. It only happens when I reach high speeds, like 55mph+. Hasn't happened in a few weeks now, actually.

So does any one have the list of the codes, or are they the same as on a 3rd gen Prelude?

I thought that obd-1 could only display 1 code at a time, and once you solve that code, if there are any more then you will see them ??

could also be an egr, i keep getting a code 12(egr), but only once the car is warm, and i am cruising over 90 km/h, similar to your problem

I will eventually get around to cleaning the egr ports and valve
