ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I say it depends on your right foot before I did any mods to my car I was getting about 28mpg then came the exhaust, short ram, and header I was like yeah better gas mileage but I get about 23mpg now because it just sounds so good.
          I need a 14b or 16g turbo!

I like that. "it all depends on your right foot." people forget that how often they mash on the gas pedal reduces gas mileage.

When you replaced the head did you adjust timing? If you are too advanced with the timing you will burn alot more gas.

how and where do you drive though? a hilly/mountainous area and someone who takes off fast will usually net poor gas mileage.
"As far as the prog references go, we embrace them. However, we would prefer our new moniker, which is a Mulligan stew of progressive rock, Bulgarian folk metal, rock ’n’ roll, ’80s disco and Christian rap that we like to call Munge." try driving somewhere for a long stretch on the highway and then checking your mileage. I mean if you drive in the city with 20mpg that's not so bad, i get like 18-19 in the city but 32 on the highway.

Good suggestions...a clean engine is an efficient engine...but don't forget...your tires will run down your MPG too...

And related to them...check your alignment too!

DO NOT PUT FUEL ADDITIVES INTO YOUR TANK!!! Snake oil stuff...doesn't work...same with those fuel line magnets and those air hurricane thingys you put into your intake tubing...they do nothing...in fact they actually reduced MPG

Seems to me if you have your cam gear 2 degrees retard, Then something is wrong with the timing. Get a stock cam gear and re do the timing.
