AEM makes one specially designed for Accord's with ABS. That is what it is rubbing on, your ABS accumulator/pump.

Your right I didn't know what that was until you mentioned it. My friend had a cb7 and it didn't have abs and we where wondering why I had that pump and he didn't. I am not sure if my new intake will clear the abs pump. Will wrapping it with rubber weather stripping do the trick?

Another question.... I have the biggest battery on earth! Is there a way to move it or turn it in such a way to have room for my intake? other wise I will have to find a smaller battery

            (sorry about the double post)

Scoot the battery over you should be able to move it over some. The ABS rubs on the pipe. I just taped mine up because I can careless. Anyway you want to avoid it make it shorter somewhat or stick some foam im between. Dont bend the ABS lines.

you may also be able to shorten the pipe about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch at the throttle body and that would probably give you the desired length with out having to getto anything. Foam, tape and all that cover up crap will eventually wear off and then you have the same problem again, and you look like you couldnt do it right to begine with. Take a hack-saw and cut 1/4 inch off to start and test fit the pipe again for clearance. Then if needed cut another bit off. You dont want to cut too much to fast cause you can always remove it, but you cant add it back. No worries cause you still have a rubber boot at the throttle body if you end up a tad short, just pull it out a little, and you can also buy better hoses and clamps to assist with this issue. Good luck, post up some finished pics for other people to reference later.

I couldn't really cut the short ram any more because the bend in the pipe was to short and it would have not made a good seal. I wont be able to install the cold air until this weekend. It looks like the new one will fit better but I will see when I get there. Thanks for the Help.

One more question for you guys! The Cold air came with a rubber bushing and a mounting bracket is welded toward the end. Where do I hook that up at?

The second short pipe with the lil notch thats where that bushing goes to absorb vibration and hold it in place.

To solve the problem of the pipe hitting the abs pump, Its simpe actually. You install the intake as normal and mark where it hits the abs pump. Then take the intake off. Turn it over. Grab your trusty hammer and give the area you marked off some good hits. Once you bent the area enough you will clear the pump with no issues.

HOLY CRAP! It didn't fit! Is it this hard for everyone? first off I have more pics... I hope its legal to post pics in this forum but for you guys to know what i am having problems with you would have to be here.... anyway here is pic one.

As you can see it is a little to short about 4 inches! I can't really move the battery because the trey is bolted down or is there a way?

                          SECOND PIC !

As you can see, this one is just like the other it shows how off this genius design of this intake is. There is a shop in town that has a mandrel bending machine for exhausts. do you think that they can re bend the pipe to fit or am I Screwed?

                          THIRD PIC!

What are those hoses for that are hooked to the throttle body? two of them are left unhooked to anything. Is that bad?

                          4th and Final Pic!

What is this oem junk? Hoses go into part#1 from the throttle body? Then part#1 plugs into part#2? Then That big box of a thing? What the Hell is that for? PLEASE HELP if you know the answer!

Resonator box and the valve the opens it. Its to decrease intake sound. And if you werent allowed to post pics on this site then you wouldnt have sigs or MR threads.

That makes sense but do I need to have the valve hooked up? because one of the throttle body hoses runs to it? in the 3rd pic you can see a pic of it the 5 hoses that run from the throttle body to the top of the intake and other various places. What do those hoses do exactly? and are they necessary?
