I was surfing ebay today and found someone selling a complete coilover set up not the springs and cups but the hole shocks and spring and cups the whole kit. its a drop zone kit was woundering if the kit is worth $250.00. i thought it was but did get it just incase of it being a crappy kits and the strutr blowing out after a week. Im looking for a kit that will help me. Im going into the SCCA honda series. It would be a lot easyier to dial the setup of the car in with a good set of struts and springs.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

my suggestion is to not go with some nameless suspension kit from ebay. go with a setup that you know will handle the stress. if you want a good combination for a dialed in setup look at skunk2 coilovers and kyb agx shocks. they are more expensive(about $1000 for both) but well worth the output to get good results. or if you want cheaper with less adjust ability but still quality look to tokico ilk suspension kits($500-600). i race scca as well so thats what i would recommend.

If you're getting into SCCA racing, spending money for a good suspension is absolutely necessary. And if you can afford to get into that sort of racing, it shouldn't be an issue. If you're looking to cut corners on simple things like suspension for cost, you're going to be overwhelmed by the cost of racing! That's not cheap to get into... believe me, I'd love to do it... but drag is all I can afford at the moment.
Learn about suspension components. Learn what you need, and then find that. Anything with "drop" in the name is clearly focused on looks and not performance.
Form and Function Autolife Type 2 - designed for the CB Accord, with the help of stickydiljoe
Megan Racing - SUPPOSEDLY copies of the Apex'i system... I've heard good things
Tein - Anything but the Basics would probably be decent... applications are fairly limited for us, sadly
Omnipower - very stiff, I hear... should be good for racing
k2 - see above
I personally would go with the Neuspeed/Koni cup kit. I'm not a fan of coilovers. The adjustability is fantastic with coilovers, but I think I would hurt myself more than help by having too much to mess with. I'd rather have a good set of springs and shocks, and concentrate on learning how to drive with them. Once I get good at driving, I'd have a basis for comparison to determine which coilover settings would actually be GOOD for me. That's just me, though.

I agree. I have H&R as well. I believe H&R also makes a full coilover system for us as well.
The best thing to do is research and figure out what will be best for the application. Just "some springs or coilovers" won't do much if they don't work well with the rest of the suspension setup, or your driving style.
