ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    tune up complete..fuel filter pointers

hey guys just letting peeps know about some of or actually one of my problems i had with my tune up....
ok so this is what i have done as far as i consider a "tune-up"...and some help finding and replacing the fuel filter.....

    4qts royal purple....................like 30 bucks
fram high mileage oil filter......under 10 bucks
    pcv valve..maker??.kragen......like 3 bucks
    bgm cap, rotor, wires..kragen...around 60bucks
    ngk spark plugs......................under 10 bucks
    chilton manual........................20bucks (a must...def a must)
    redline SI-1 fuel additive..........under 10 bucks
    fram fuel filter......................12 bucks
the blue shop towels..............89 cents..gota love em

all in all i spent 120 bucks on a "tune-up"...i hope this entails one or something like that....but thats what i call one.....

so the main reason im writing this is to help you guys out find the fuel filter and replace it.....

first you want to make sure you release pressure by opening the gas cap...

ok..here we go....so u open your hood and walk over to the fuse box...look right past it and you see a black box on the firewall....ok

the filter is just to the right a little below... see it...good....the way to get there is to remove that black box...

a side note* before removing box...you can either unclip two small harnesses or just remove then from the black box...either or..make sure not to split or mess them up....this makes the moving around a little easier.

there are two 10mm bolts holding it on the firewall...make sure u use a long extension as it makes it easier......then simply give it a jiggle and it should pop out....ah ha..u see the filter right...ok...

i first took off the banjo bolt (the bigger bolt of the 2) with an 11/16 and a 14mm for the other fuel line....once removed, you are ready to take the filter out...remove the 10mm bolt on the right of the filter to release...its a pain in the ass to put back....

ok at this point your might be having a prob fuel line...if you havent already taken it out..this is where you are going to spill a bit of fuel but i had to turn it side ways and make it do like 15 thousand twists and turns, but you will find a way for it to get out....but be patient..plus the fuel line does go out a bit just one of those things you cant say how far it will go out but it goes far enough....

its highly recommended that you replace the washers on the banjo bolt..the bigger bolt of the 2....unless you want a high pressure leak dont ,,,as it says in the manual,,,but the fuel filter you bought should have them...if not go to honda and they are like 5 bucks if that......ok install the filter and make sure you tighten everything up cause i was leaking fuel from the banjo bolt and only knew about it cause i forgot to tighten it...i dont know why...o yea..cause i spent about 10 hours tryin to take the filter out ...but be patient ...it worth it.....i think that about it...ill post pics later.

    thanks guys...

Look At Your Fuel Rail,, Now Follow It To The Left Side Where You Will See It On The Fire Wall.. Close To Your Fuse Box.

Make Sure To Release The Pressure First.

You Dont Have To Do This.. But Add Fuel To The Filter So Starting The Car Wont Take So Long.
