ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Koni makes struts. Konig makes wheeles.

Anyway, it depends on what you want. I prefer the spring/strut combo over the coilovers, because I'd mess with the coilovers... and ruin my tires if I didn't get aligned every time I did it.

The H&R full coilovers are good, though. There are many others to choose from as well. If I went for coilovers, I'd get the Form and Function Autolife Type 2 coilovers (you can find them in the Classifieds section here, stickydiljoe, Honda Tuning cover car, helped develop them specifically for the CB7)

          Here's my two cents:

I'm running Megan springs with Tokico shocks. The ride is bouncy butin a bad way, it does't have the tight style of control I was going for.

I like the drop, but I would go with coilovers if I were you, I think you'll be happier.

Yeah, I personally regret not getting coil overs the first time around. Coilovers generally have a lot better reputation when it comes to handling and I'd love to have the ride height adjustability.

If/when your friend gets the coilovers, I'll buy his neuspeed race springs.

This is something I have always wondered. Glad to see it.

I have tokico illumina struts and neuspeed sport springs, I like the ride plus i like the fact that i dont have to deal with the adjustments like i would with coilovers.

H&Rs might be the best quality for the money. I would go with those.

If you're willing to spend $900 though the best setup for a CB would be Koni/GCs. I was gonna get that for my last car.

IF YOUR GOING TO SLAM YOUR CAR USE ADJUSTABLE CAUSE YOU'LL DAMMAGE YOUR CAR WITH SPRINGS THAT LOW

NOW SPRINGS ARE MORE COMFORTABLE FOR DAILY DRIVING..

COILOVERS ARE STIFFER AND YOU CAN CORNER FASTER.. IM ON COILOVERS.. BUT I HAVE THEM CUSTOM MADE SO I DONT KNOW HOW THE BRANDS ARE..
