ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You have to do a lot of modifications I think. Just set for a JDM H22 and you're set. Much easier.

good point thanks for the info ... but im still gona keep the idea open and still wana know what people think... the main reason im thinking of a K24 is that everyone is swaping in H22s and H23s and i wana do somthing different.

Go with an F20, thats unique, and allot easier and less expensive.

I guess you can probably use the hasport kit thats for the CD5 accord, that would be my best bet, the accord engine bay is pretty good start, since we already have a fairly big engine. I imagine it wont be to different from the CD5 accord, you should look into some of the CD5 accords and do some research on that K-swap, i think it will be really helpful

Yeah, that lost me as well...

The reason nobody has done a K series swap is that the cost is VERY high to justify the reason of "everyone else has an H already". If you can fabricate, it'll be much cheaper... probably just the cost of the engine. The K24 engine is quite cheap, and the K20 R or S head can be put on there at a later time for a wicked hybrid motor.

Still, the mounts have to be figured out. The wiring, fuel, coolant, shift linkage, and header would all need to be custom. The K24 is underpowered compared to the H22, and the best K20 isn't all that much better. For the price of a stock K swap, even the crappy K24, you'd be able to make considerable power with an H22.

So, to be different, it's a great idea... if you can afford it (or have the tools and skills to pull it off). However, the cost of being different isn't really worth it, IMO. We are THOROUGHLY spoiled by the drop-in H22!

K24 would be different, but a J series V6 would be worth the effort

this is what the J looks like in a civic engine bay....it is only a matter of time until someone puts one of these in the CB7 chassis.
