ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

4-2-1 Designs are all the same, gains from one can pretty much be expected with the next... Look at any of them, same damn design, and the only thing different from engine to engine is the flange and possible clearance bends(unlikely on most).. I have been running an Ebay Special for almost a year now on my H22A and my b/f has had one on his SpecV for over 2 years now. Not a single issue with either other than him blowing out a 2-2 gasket when a stud went missing after a trip to the stealership... Easily fixed and not a problem since.

If your going to spend a bunch of cash on some name brand junk, PM me and I can see how much my b/f will charge to fabricate a 4-1 design to fit.. That's the only way your going to increase power by switching the manifold. Unless it has a snail attached...

DC's or cheapies do the same thing the only noticable difference between the 2 is the money you spend. If you want more power get yourself a true 4-1 header. If you want more low end torque get a cheapie off ebay or one off an A4 motor.

agreed. the A4 header is a tubular design just like all aftermarket ones. so if you don't have an A4, just grab the header off one. you can probably find one for like $20 from a junkyard.

but if i were you, i'd just keep the Ebay ones you have now. save yourself the money. the others you can get probably won't even make any difference.

x2 + DCs are ceramic coated and have warranties.

Megan > DC. IF you live in a carb state then you would need to go with DC. DC come in stainless or ceramic coated. The ceramic likes to rust when moisture hits it my friend had one on his accord and civic.

Hopefully the Bisimoto headers will be released... There seems to be a fair amount of serious interest, but I'm not sure if Bisi is convinced it'll be worth putting them into production (I have not discussed this directly with him... but I have a feeling the delay isn't simply a manufacturing issue)

Bisimoto headers will be the BEST header out there, SIGNIFICANTLY better than the DC design, or anything else for the F22A for that matter. The DC headers are what, $350-$400 brand new? Or has the price come down? Either way, at $600-$700, the Bisimoto headers will be an absolute steal.

False. Just because they are brand name doesnt mean they are great. Too bad someone tested a Megan as I recall and it flowed equal to DC and it costs less. The only reason you would buy DC is for carb sticker and such aka california. The only gain you might see is with there Race SS header or if you do a collector mod. Only way you will get power out of those things. Either way if I had the money I would up the antee and purchase something that has been proven to work aka Bisimoto (f/hseries), Hytech, SMSP, RMF (all h series).
