ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Electrical Issues

    Hi there,

When I have my headlights on and I put my turn signal on and then go to turn it off (turn signal) my clock light flickers very bright. This happens once every 3 times apx.

I've also had one instance where I was backing up, had my turn signal on... and my ecu fuse blew.

I went through the engine bay and resurfaced all the grounds.

The ecu fuse has not blown since, but my clock still flashes really bright for a split second apx. every 3rd I have my headlights on and I'm turning off my turn signal.

I have no idea where to look or what to replace, can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks!

    Dave

Is there a guide on how to do this? I'm googling it right now but don't seem to be having much luck.

get a wiring diagram and follow it. you should be able to find power and ground, shorts to ground or power with a DVOM or test light. if you are going to use a dvom your best bet is to use a FLUKE. and check for continuity. but without a diagram your going to be chasing and guessing unless someone else a more low key less technical of doing it.

I found the ground wire by the fuse box right beside my clutch was loose.

I made sure it was making good contact but the issue still persists.

However I'm starting to wondering if I'm just dealing with a bad turnsignal/headlight switch.

I noticed (when the clock flickers) the light on the clock only gets as bright as it is when your headlights are turned off.

I could also get the flickering to occurring by slowly turning the headlights on...and then turning the switch back ever so slightly...
