ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    computer help 2

ok now that i know where the computer is at....can someone explain to me the difference between all the different kinds..i went on ebay and i saw that there were like 7 different types of ecu...people help me again...thanks

Well there's like a thousand different ECU's haha. Each ECU is different for each car. The difference is in the "tune" of it per say. Like if you take the ECU from a cb7 and put it in an s2000...the s2000's going to suck shit. Our ECU's tuned to run a specific a/f ratio with our cr, our header design, intake port diameter, fuel injector size...yadda yadda yadda. If you want to get into specifics, hit up Wikkedv16 or MRX...they seem to be the ECU guru's around here. Probably others, but I'm still a noob so I'm still learning people. But check out this thread by MRX on ECU's.

What's done to your car? A new ECU won't help you at all unless you have the mods to support it.

PT6 comes from an F22A6 (92-93 EX motor), and will only give gains if you have the other A6 parts.

P12 comes from an F22A1 powered Prelude. This might give you gains if you have an F22A1or F22A4. Not sure if it would help an F22A6.

Unless you've swapped or boosted your engine, you won't have any use for anything else.

like mike said... youwon't need anything other than the stock ecu unless you have upgraded or boosted or swapped. you can for little money bring your a1 or a4 to an a6 and use the pt6 ecu( which i have one for sale from mine a 5spd too) or you can run a chipped p28 or chipped p06(also have p06 for sale) and tune almost infinately for your setup. otherwise youaren't gonna get anything out of it if it will run at all
