ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

You probably installed it wrong, somehow.

Or you have the timing order out of whack.

Maybe the contacts in the cap weren't ground the way they need to be, they should be just long enough to be tapped by the rotor. Anyway OEM honda is best anyhow

btw cap and rotor from honda is only like 10-20 bucks

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

Cheapo buttons don't have screws, only the OEM ones. As much of a pain in the ass that screw is, I like to have it there.

Wait, what do you mean button? The rotor doesn't use a screw it just presses on there, but I'm sure you guys know that...I'm confused

SOME distributors have a screw that hold down the rotor.

i know the civics do and it's been a while, but i thought the accords did too. i haven't fucked with an accord dizzy in 2 or 3 years and that's a lot of weed and alcohol since then, so who knows what they have. it has a flat side anyway, so it probably wouldn't matter much, it would still be in place, but just a thought.

when people fuck up simple tasks, it's usually no fucking telling what is wrong.

                    I've had both.

I had it narrowed down as to which dizzy's had it and which didn't. But I don't remember anymore.

I know my H22 dizzy has the screw. I THINK the Accord ones do as well. I use a rotor button for a 90-91 Accord with the H22, and it has no screw. Just a metal clip on the flat side to hold it on. Holds it fairly well, but the screw is an added safety measure!

My 90lx and my 93ex do not use a screw to hold the rotor

My brothers 98 civic ex does

My 93's dizzy is OEM honda, and when I replaced the rotor with an oem honda replacement it still didn't, so I imagine accords do not....unless you have some aftermarket piece maybe?

So anyway I think I've gone off topic

Igniters can be blamed for no start situations, coil too

I just took my dizzy of and I saw a little pool of oil leak out (see photo), is this normal? The car wont start even with the new dizzy. I haven't checked the spak plugs yet but I'm expecting them to be covered too. Would this stop the car from turning over?
