ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    front suspension

Hello everyone, question...Im assuming the H22 im installing is heavier than the F. Is this gonna cause any major issues with the front springs, should I go stiffer? I am running Ground control adjustable coliovers, stock shocks( will be changing those!), i was thinking i may have to raise it alittle. what do you guys think?

actually my car has coilovers and lowering springs if you're talkin about me... run the same with it set like 1/2 an inch lower than stock and you will be fine... a friend of mine said he tried with the stock suspension and they blew out so don't do that.
back to do it again... no flipping of accords this time!!!

having a H22 in your car is just like having a 12 your old kid riding with you in the front all the time. So i would say yes, but not noticeable.

Your going to want to be able to take turns with all the added HP, i mean most people drop their car.

Yeah, suspension isn't necessary for the swap. But if you want the power, you'll love the car after a good suspension. Transforms it.

As mentioned only a weight gain of like 50ish pounds. Probably less.

If you really cared just batt. relocate to trunk, cf hood, and like drop a few more pounds in teh front and well you're almost back to normal. Normal + 60hp.

Its not heavier...Its about the same as an F. Why does everyone think this? Its only 80 lbs if not a little more heavier than a D series. Thats not much weight for the suspension anyway unless your shit is blown.

move the full size battery to the trunk = save 40 pounds right there.

ditch P/s, a/c and brackets = another 40 lbs right there.

The H22 block is light as anything. I can lift a bare block with one hand. The head weighs more than an F22A head, and the transmissions are about the same. The weight difference is probably no more than 20lbs, if that.

Putting 20lbs in the FRONT of your car is different than having it in the passenger seat... but it won't make that much of a difference. I never noticed any handling differences with my swap, and I was on stock suspension for a year as well.

If it's about 20lbs heavier, throw on a carbon fiber hood. Problem solved.
