ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    pt6 ecu upgrade

ok I have a f22a1 in my 92 dx 5spd, now ive been doing my research by using the search and I have found some very use full info. but my question is can I upgrade my pt3 to a pt6 ecu with out any problem? will this harm my car in any way? Also I've been told that the pt6 ecu has no speed limiter and also I wanted to know if I could use a pt6 ecu from a auto accord or do I ave to obtain one from a 5spd also? Thanks a bunch

I think I might stop by my local junk yard and snag one just need to know if it would work with an auto pt6??

get an A6 cam, A6/H23 intake manifold, and upgraded header with that and you're golden.

Sorry for threadjacking here. But i have a tiny question... TINY...
If i have aftermarket exhaust header, and im getting an A6 manifold, a6 cam, PT6 ecu, will this let my gas milage rise a bit since its a higher flow manifold, with a high flow air filter (cheap jimmy rig) i noticed that with my slight mods, im loosing some MPG, and i just wanna get some of it back, im wondering if i let the intake bring in more with a different ECU, it will run better... is this theory right or wrong?
Let me know if this is too hard to understand... i think i fucked up a bit O.o haha

From what I've read the upgrades allow for better than stock air flow, this part's easy enough to understand. Since the ecu is reading more air, a lean condition, it compensates for this by dumping more gas in to bringing it back to an ideal air/fuel ratio. Since it's using more gas to go the same speed you lose MPG. To gain the MPG back, or improve it, you need to tune the ecu to get everything at an ideal level.

Well i just found out tuning a P06 ECU here (chipped civ) is like 5 bills.... its stupid how much they charge, but its also like 10 dyno runs, and 5 hours of tuning... I figure i would just get the PT3 and get something that see's higher airflow... or even just get the PT3 thats programmed for slightly higher air flow, and smack that on... it technically should see an improvement in my milage as i do have more air comin in... im gonna grab one on the weekend... I have yet to pull an ecu though, mind tellin me whereabouts it is? Is it under the carpet passenger side?

                          thanks.

It doesnt matter which ecu you have they are the same for the auto and manual
