ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    problem starting

[IMG]Since a while now i have intermittent problem starting my car.Sometimes it start right up(usuly when it has been driven before)but sometimes nothing happens the dash lights comes on and dies when i turn the key.No starter click just some noise inside the dash.If i try again sometimes the light are very low.Sometimes i leave the key on a few minutes it comes back by itself and it starts.

When i play with the battery connectors the power comes back sometimes, but when i turn the key it dies again.

Sometimes i wiggle the black wire from the starter and the big harness it com e back.

I discover that there is a wire from the distributor(coil??)that is laying unpluged on the motor.Could the metal connector ground and makes my car act up like that?ANd why is that wire unplug?

    Battery is new
    Starter is new
    Main relay has been changed
    Battery cables new
Changed ground on motor mount and valve cover

Any imput would be very appreciate

i bet it is that spark plug wire that is not connected to your distributer. because if it is unplugged then the engine is only running off of 3 cylinders and has to literally fight to stay active because only one cylinder is having the other two cylinders complete its cycle. so anyways plugg it back up and if you have to use super glue to keep it in there. thats what i did and it works fine.

my cable have 6 month of use.Sorry for being such a noob, but what is a ignitor and where is it located?

Does the alternator can cause a start/no start situation?

The distributor on my car has 4 holes for the four wires so the other extra one is usefull so the previous owner just disposed it there and i think it did ground but im not sure im wondering if there is power going in that cable.

Thanks for your help everyone i will come back after work to see some responses
