mugen chip?

my girlfriend send i can get watever i want for Xmas, so im on ebay and i come upon this mugen chip that raises my rpm to 8200 and hp gains about +7-+20 im just wonderin if this little wonder mugen chip is worth the risks. any opions and ideas are greatly acknowldged. ps. i just want to spend money on my car for a change...

Yeah those I think mess up your A/F ratio. Dumping more or less fuel I think.

Let's just say it's not worth buying at all. You are better off keeping proper maintennance.

Well , you can get an intake , header and catback exhaust. High flow cat. Overbored throttle body , if you have an A6 intake manifold you can get an Intake manifold spacer.


Budget is also a factor.

It's better for cars with vtec like civic motors,f22b1,h22 it performs better.I have an mugen chipped P28 with f22 vtec motor and it is KICKIN STRONG hangs even with h22 accords.

im very good at saving money because all i do is work but Xmas is here and i decided i want to spend some money on my car i have i/h/e/ and a test pipe,...i have like 3 thousand but like i said i dont want a turbo. im just lookin for that lil cool gadget or gizmo to keep me happy for awhile so i can save up another 3 thousand

Unless you got it from Mugen, or an authorized Mugen distributor, it's a knockoff... and could potentially do harm to your engine.
