ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

whats best engine to swap into a cb7??

check out the thread from 2point6, he is currently putting a K24 into his car.

or there is the V6 swap we have been talking about for a while. If you have about a month of downtime, the V6 swap could be done. We need a donor car, engine, time and money to get the 1st set of engine mounts ready. Then with the help of a Rywire wiring harness, you can have a 300hp CB7. ok its not that easy, but check it out:

eh...get ready for a lot of
"what do you plan to do" responses.

If your just going for lots of power...I would say an h22...sure a k might have more power but...they haven't been done a lot...more help and experience with the h22

screw that "everyone else is doing it so I'm gonna find something new and non lubricated ass raping hard to be unique" mentality

You'll be just as cool flying by cars with the good ol h22 as you would be with some retardedly difficult swap.

*edited after seeing the above reply*
check out the price diff. for k24 vs h22...might not be a bad idea...but those are new engines...hard to get.

I might be wrong about difficulty though

HOT DAMN...the k24 might be the new way to go...depending on how difficult it is...wonder if we can get the specs on those mounts

is that the first k24 swap on cb7??

              ^^^^ Hell yeah ^^^^

The F20A seems to be THE engine for the higher rpm's. I heard that it can easily rev to 10.000 rpm with some real good tuning. Don't know what you'll have to modify?

I'll have mine back next week. It's a F20A SOHC with stock 147 hp, but it had a big head job, shaving, porting etc. And every pulley is lightweight and I did the auto to manual swap. More info to be found in my thread of my ride.

I can't wait to drive it

                    Low mileage F20A.
Personally I believe CB7 is a damn good daily puller. It is just the right size, good mpg to power ratio. Easier to fix than some newer models. Parts prices are okayish. So I would keep it as stock and as clean as possible. I think F20A is the easiest jdm swap so go with it.
