Ok I have a 1993 Accord 5 Speed with a F22A1 in it. It has about 121,000 miles on it and is a very healthy motor. I am currently going to be putting a cat delete pipe and a 2.5'' Full cat back on it(resonator and High flow muffler w/silencer) on the car. My question is down the road when I install a 4-2-1 header on the car, could or would that much increased exhaust flow hurt my motor? If so how and can I prevent it? Thanks in advance

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

will it hurt my motor?

No it will not hurt the car. Itll help exit the exhaust gases flow alot quicker thus having less backpressure.Your improving performance also gaining a tad bit on gas mileage.
From what a heard with a full exhaust and header youll lose some bottom end but gain a heck of alot on top end power.

personally...
I think 2.5" is a lil much, but all depends on your game plan...
I have an f22a1 myself with all the a6 fixings and 2.5" all the way back with the test pipe instead of a cat.
My plan is to go turbo so I got the 2.5" right away. But if your staying n/a I wouldnt go much bigger than 2.25"
just what I think!
Good luck tho...I do like it with the 2.5" tho in all honesty.

2.25" is ideal for an F22 unless you're planning some pretty crazy mods (get a wild cam, headwork, and a good header like the Bisimoto piece, and 2.5" will be justified).
For turbo, 3" is actually best.
Anyway, to answer the question... no, it won't do any damage at all. You'll have a soggy bottom end, though. That means you'll probably want to rev higher and give it more gas to feel power... which WILL put more strain on your motor. The parts won't hurt it, but don't let yourself be tempted to beat on it.

re
Thats good to hear then. I dont know how crazy I will get with the car yet. Iam going to do the Header, test pipe, 2.5'' cat back for now. and I already have a short ram intake. In the future I would like to add all F22A6 parts,Delta regrind cam, Bizimoto Throttle body, and a good tune though. Just curious though-what kind of WHP will my F22A1 make with Header back and short ram? Im thinking maybe 115WHP?1995 Ford Taurus SHO 5 speed-DD and stockish
