ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Starting on "P" & "D4"

Hey guys, I have a problem, when I turn the key to where to the first position to where the lights turn on in the instrument panel and the car chimes like 5 times if you don't have your seat belt on, both the P and the D4 are luminated on the shift lever indicator, but this is only for a moment, the D4 turns off when the chimming stops and a couple of the other warning/indicator lights turn off. I wanted to know if this was actually a problem; if it's an electrical/transmmision problem; or is it something 92 accords do because my 91 CB7 doesn't? TIA.

yea, i know, sorry, i just recently purchased the car from an elderly couple and I already have a HONDA steering wheel cover ready to go on but I want to detail the car first beacuse it seems the lady left a thick layer of her make-up all over the wheel and everywhere else., Thanks though.

The car runs perfectly, it might need a little tune up, I'm just hoping it doesn't mess with the trasnmission, so far it shifts smoothly, and on my 91 only the P lights up.

In my 93 all the lights light up then turn off...

I thought all cars did that when you crank them, so you can see if a dash bulb is burnt out, etc.

From my experience that's normal. My CB does that and everyone I've ever been in does that. I'm sure it's supposed to light up when you first turn the key and then it goes off in a few secs.

It's normal.. ECU and/or TCU check themselves if they have a code within them. If they turn off it means your ECU and/or TCU detects your car is working perfect. If they don't turn off , it means you have a error code.

Thanks alot guys for all your help and advive , But i know that the most of the instrument panel is suppose to turn on then off {ABS,SRS, oil/battery...etc.); the only thing I'm really worried about is that the D4, and only the D4, lights up along ith the P when the shift lever is on park, and for the duration that the D4 is on it sound like if the car is releasing gas/pressure/air ; which if it is gas might explain why the exhaust fumes smell alot like burt excess gasoline every morning. TIA. And your car is sweet DarkShadow
