ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Hood Closure Problems

Well, as it says, my hood doesnt close all the way on the right side of my cb. About half way down going toward the bumper the hood on the right side is sitting up about a little almost close to half an inch It gets fustrating because it makes my grill look off and when I was my car, theres a noticable amount of water in the engine bay. This hood problem came up a few months back after the guy did the motor swap. Could he have done something wrong with the motor mounts?. I definitely know for sure theres nothing blocking the way of the hood from closing. The thing is that when I push down on the hood where the latch hooks, it closes, but once I let up it goes back to that half inch...

Sounds like its twisting. When you drop the hood does the latch center on the lock on the front?

is the hood actually latching all the way, where the only way to open it is by pulling the lever?

perhaps he removed the hood to do the swap? are the rear corners by the windshield lined up even with the fenders?

you could try loosening the three 10mm bolts on the latch and moving it down a little bit. this will hold the hood down a bit more. then you can adjust the rubber bumpers at the corners of the hood on the radiator support to hold either side of the hood up to the correct gap away from the headlights.

Hey mike, so I finally had the will to get out in the cold weather and do that. You were right I loosened the bolts and moved them down as far as I could in a low enough postition that I could bolt them back on....It worked too Still its not closed all the way but its a hell of alot better than before! thanks
