ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

    ABS problem

On my cb7 i have rear disk brake and abs system. (Ex-r 92) I dunno how is happen. I press my brake pedal and is go at the floor. I press a second time and now i have a good pressure but the second cup for brake fluid was empty. My abs light turn on. I fill up my brake fluid and no leak appear. But my abs light stay on.

I don't want to take off the abs system. I find is work great on dry surface. I don't find any bleeder on abs system... I want to find this problem before i put some dot 5 fluid is very expensif. I changed my line brake for Stainless line. I have a good brake system (slot and croos drill disk with ebc green stuff front and rear).

              1. DOT 3/4 are interchangeable. Mixing them is fine.
              2. DOT 5 is silica based as mentioned. If that was in your system your whole brake system would have needed to be replaced.
              3. DOT 5.1 is a new base that is liquid and can be used on most modern day vehicles very pricey stuff.
              4. Rebleed your system you said you changed the lines. Bleed the system and make sure your lines are on tight and not leaking since you also witnessed a loss of brake fluid.
              5. If rebleeding does not help it could be your master cylinder going out but thats after you are sure the brakes are bled properly.

as for the abs unit bleeding u cant unless u have a HONDA scanner, as i was told when i worked there,
i had the MASTER CYLINDER problem
the seals go out in it and i imadiately affects the ABS

DOT 3 is the same from either brand

PS dont buy DOT 5 if u hate people

I just want to say i never use a dot 5 fluid. It was just a plan. I am pretty sure my problem is around the abs system because my brake work perfectly but not the ABS.

When i pushed the brake pedal at the floor I find my brake fluid on the ground. Only the fluid to come from the second cup. I fill it up, i take a friend to press on the brake pedal and i don't see any leak. And the second cup of brake fluid stay full.

I beed all my line at the galiper and the level of brake fluid in the second cup was never go down

If i want to change my master cylinder, Is it a good idea to change it for a bigger (better) or the oem can handle many hard condition like track racing?
