ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

On my past 90 lx, My D4 lamp would blink on the cluster and another obvious thing was I would have to put it in neutral and then reverse multiple times before it would engage which was really annoying! I live in a court and for 3days had to circle my court multiple times to try to park on the side in one try (very hard with narrow spots and other cars around) I felt like I was a aircraft waiting for ground clearance!"Thizz Bizz R' Uz"

Another way to now your tranny is giving out (or gears are giving out) is when it shifts it will kind of "gradually" go into gear. Kind of like when you don't let the clutch out all the way when driving a manual. (mine does this now when it shifts into 3rd & 4th )3 CB's gone....

Still miss the CB though......maybe one day.

i was driving my brothers cb and the shift was delayed and right before that you could feel vibrations through the pedal then it would shift. i eventually stopped driving it because i didn't want it to crap out while i was driving and went back to my car... it was also hard to shift the auto from gear to gear (park-nuetral-d4)

yea mines doing that for 1 to 2. i have to push the gas and let off the gas at the perfect RPM to get it to shift. *kind of like a manual car with no clutch* if i held the gas were it was the rpm will go up and extra 1k RPM and shift roughly. No metal grinding but def 18 years of wear and tear.
I Have a question SO I CAN GET THIS REPAIRED
automatics have clutches as well right? if i replace the clutch you think that will give my tranny more life and I can get the feeling back shifting 1 to 2? What are the guts of a transmission? What part is it thats going bad on the inside? or do people normally replace a whole tranny?

These are both symptoms of low/bad fluid or worse case a failing torque converter.

OH! So that's what it is! It seems like anytime I'm following an old car it smells like rotten eggs. I never thought it'd be the cat.
