If I want to take it back in salvage, I'll get $2207 and my car back. I'm thinking this will be the route I'm taking. Oy.
Anyways...that's where I'm standing right now. Gotta talk to the wifey about it, she was initially upset because we just did the upholstering lol

I've been checking here, as far away as Portland, OR. Which is a 3 hour drive for me, and I can find plenty of Accords, just none that are in that type of shape. I've found plenty for around 4k though lol.
I've priced it out and parts should run me around 5-700 if I have to order all of them. Like I said, I think there is still a donor at the JY that would have all the parts I needed, cept I'll order a core support and radiator. My one nice thought of all of this is that if I'm essentially painting half of the car...I might as well paint the whole thing right?

benjiaccord,
I want to offer my sincere condolences on your recent loss. It was a shock to hear the news of Cd5's passing and I can only imagine how difficult it has been for you and your family.
I hope that in some small measure these words bring you some comfort at this sad time. I am reminded of those words from the Bible that say "Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted."
May God's blessings and peace be with you and your wonderful family.
With Love,
Jabercb7

Lol, thanks Jaber. It has been rather a gloomy time in my life this past week and I thank you for your sympathy.
I did my research last night and found 15 cd5s within 125 miles all with approximately the same amount of miles as my car and either Ex's or Lx's. They range in price from $2500 to $4990 with most of the lower priced ones being LX autos.
I did an average price of all 15 cars and came up with $3303. I called the adjuster today and told him all of that and he said he'd be calling me this afternoon as he was in the field and didn't have my file with him. If I can get it up around 3k and get my car back too, I'll feel a little bit better about that.

I'm in Kitsap County near Seattle. I think I found a possible donor, 800 though...but its in "perfect shape exterior wise", broken timing belt. I'd have to get down to McChord Air Force Base, about an hour and fifteen minutes away...
But check away for me
So its 9:42pm pst and the d-bag from Geico didn't call me back...I called again and left a message...ugh.

YAY!!!
After calling and telling the adjuster that I found a bunch of Accords for a lot more, and telling him, lets look at about $3300 for a totaled price he called me back today.
He left a message to call him so I did, he said that the new price is $3327 and if I want it back in salvage I'll receive a check for $2977.77
I said, "sign me up!" They're going to deliver my car to Pop's shop tomorrow and I'll get the check on Saturday or Monday. I'm heading to the JY on saturday morning to see if that cars still there so I can get some pieces off of it...
I'll take pics with the real camera when I get it back
and along the way for the rebuild. Keep your eyes out!

Well guys and gals, my car was delivered yesterday. Went and spied at it and got the hood open. The good news: The radiator is fine amazingly! I got my car started and let it run for 20 minutes, no leaks, temp got up to halfway up the gauge and that's it. The bad news: I think the hissing was from my ac, the line that runs up and over the compressor and bolts to the radiator got pushed over and was actually touching the compressor pulley...I'm guessing that has a split in it.
So, the check should be here today, I'll order my parts and get to work soon.
I did stop by the JY, I'm picking up a hood for $40, some bumper reinforcement pieces, and brackets.
I also picked up the trunk lights that have been dead for a long time (my sockets melted and corroded) and I also picked up a 'lude shifter
