    new kid

Sup, I'm from north Chicago area, am a high school senior, and have a '97 Accord EX A/T. All stock for now with almost 49k miles, only thing I did was remove the intake resonator. Also got rear bumper and some major panels repainted because of some dings and scratches. Gonna do some minor mods in the summer hopefully.

here are some pics front and back, only ones I have for now.

new, better pics after a wash (cell phone)

              Haha, thanks for the comments!

The mileage is low, because it used to be my dad's (since '97) and he would take it to and from work everyday and my mom's Lex would do all the other stuff (ie - groceries, shopping, highway trips, special occasions, etc.)

Btw, what do you suggest I should do with the headlights? I'm on a student budget (>$100) and was thinking of amber lamps (lol) on the side and DIY blackhousing headlights, maybe yellow highbeam portion too. Don't know what looks best on a bordeaux red accord lol hate this color.

Also looking for cheap coil overs that offer a low stance that I can adjust for the summer and winter, after I make some $$ that is.

..And that hideous grill, got do something about it lol.

Look into DEPO or Stanley JDM Blackhousing headlights on eBay. They're not too expensive. The yellowing of the high beams is something I never understood. Not my thing, I would rather invest in high beam yellow bulbs that actually throw out full yellow light.

I had the same grill as yours, and I agree, it's bland. I opted for a '94 Accord grill and had my buddy, who is a painter, spray it to match my car color. There are a lot of other grills out there, though, they cost a bit more. ie. mugen, atlantic, g-square.

I would link you to the grill link sticky on CD5Tuner, but our site is down currently, as you can see. The site admins are working on getting it fixed, though.

                        bump.

so I was looking at affordable coilover + shocks setups that I can install myself and lower my Accord like say 3+" and a friend showed these to me (Skunk2 Sport shocks + lowering springs):

Anybody had experience with these or recommend it? If anybody knows something better, please tell.

edit- I need a spring compressor?

clean car bro! Keep it factory, and slam her!
As for the suspension. Those aren't bad at all.
I would recommend getting ground control coilovers.
They are by far the most comfortable with koni yellows.
