I seriously doubt that has anything to do with your clutch. Additionally, your clutch is hydraulic. There is no cable.

Look at your shift linkage first. Make sure everything is connected, and look for kinks in the linkage itself. Remove the linkage from the transmission and try moving the shifter. If the cables move freely, then it should be fine. If not, it is damaged. If it is damaged, replace it.
If it is not damaged, then there is an issue with your transmission itself.

lincage goes from your shifter to the tranny. follow it. it connects on the top of the tranny.

i didn't feel anything when mine got stuck

The linkage is the easy part. Wires from the shifter to the tranny. Nothing has to be removed.

If it's inside the transmission, you're looking at a rebuild or a replacement.

ayy thanx for the input guys i fixed it! lol only reason it was like that was cause the pin holding the cable to the shifter came out. made my self a new pin out of a nail poped it in nd i was good again =]]]

Not that I have any experience using nails to replace things like that lol But, get ye to a Honda dealer, and buy the proper replacement clip at your earliest convenience. Do not expect that nail to survive for a long time there.

Now then, I KNOW you aren't going to listen to me. I know you're going to leave that nail in there, but at least when you get stuck in 1st gear this time, and have to drive 30 miles home at like 15 miles an hour, I can laugh and say I told you so

I think hes talking about using a nail to replace the cotter pin that holds the cables to the selector on the trans, if so his jerry rig method should work fine if the nail was bent enough to stay in

Yeah, it's just a cotter pin. A nail is a ghetto replacement, but it will work well enough. It's not a high stress connection.

Albeit not the appropriate tool for the job...i'm going to go out on a limb and say most nails are stronger than that cotter pin...

Dunno, the last time I used a nail for that purpose, it was on the shift linkage of an old Chevy, pretty much the exact same application, just under the car. Unfortunately, the nail didn't fare well, rusted, and broke.

Have you ever tried to sit in an old school Chevy, 350 rumbling away, exhaust hot as hell, and hold the brake pedal down, while you lean your upper body out the door so you can put one hand on the ground, and reach under the car, around the hot exhaust pipe with the other hand to change gears? I think I'd just buy the little cotter pin, and be sure!
