thats the dumbest excuse ever. the reason people do a relocation is to free up clutter and weight transfer.

and also hide their battery from thieves who want to kill their alarm by disengaging the battery.

At least he got an odyssey battery which wont really matter where you put it as it's pretty light.

          battery relocation

well i moved it to the other side becuase it was different. i try not to be like all the rest. yeah i could of moved it to the trunk but that has been done so many times.moving the battery will be helpful when i build my water to air intercooler for my turbo setup coming with in the next couple months. isnt that why they call it a battery relocation? dont hate.

What does moving your battery have to do with being an individual? It's not merely an aesthetic piece, it does a job and no one cares if you are "like everyone else" for a battery... Now that I know why you actually moved the battery it was a pretty much wasted effort. Even if you say its for intercooler piping clearance you'll still run into it because the battery is still in the engine bay, you want less clutter to have more room to work with piping.

I transferred battery to trunk in my white Accord project to make more room for my intake piping/filter setup as I wanted it getting air from behind the front-passenger headlight. I guess weight transfer is a plus, but not my main reason. It did free up a lot of room in that area, easier to work around there and made a nice spot for my ground wire kit negative base junction.

i will be putting a "small" northstar battery in the spare tire well of my trunk. i say small because the normal one weighs 120lbs, is about 25"x4"x 16", has (i think) 7,000 cranking amps, and is used for cell phone towers! the one i'm getting is significantly smaller, but still larger than the stock battery (and has over 3000 cranking amps!). i'll need that for my air ride (soon), close to 3000 watts of sound (not as soon), in-car computer (also, soon), and lastly, the engine. big-3 upgrade with 0-guage wire and a dual alternator setup.

anyway, back on topic; i like what you did with the battery, but i too think that it would be better in the trunk. yes it is a lighter battery, but for weight distribution it is in a worse place than stock. most cars with relocated batteries (at least that i've seen) have it in the passenger side of the trunk to try to offset the extra weight of the driver side (steering wheel and column, pedals, brake booster, the driver themself, etc).

That is definitely a nice spot to re-locate the battery. I have mine behind the center console in my teg.

I relocated my battery using the small oddesy with the password jdm carbon fiber box/ relocation kit behind my front bumper inside the fender. I dont have my wheel well plastic in but between that and the belly pan its pretty well covered up.

yea it's a v2, looks like like my buddy's from his bb6, but as far as i know preludes 92-01 can use the same aftermarket intake and they'll also fit on our cars.

Thanks Wilson. I knew it was the AEM V2 but just wasn't sure which car model it was from. It would be sweet to run one of those.
