Which is better? LED or Neon tubes for under the car? which is brighter?

overall LED is better so i hear -
LED is much better than neon..they are brighter, use alot less energy...and are tougher than neon tubes...and with leds`s you can make kool effects under your car that neon cant do..H22a swap

Get the LEDS they will last pretty much forever. If you use it for ur undercarrige the plastic tube might break but the leds will never die out! well not for a real long time!

leds by far! I have a set under my car, and they last forever. besides the above mentioned reasons..if you crack a neon tube, u are done. An led sysem is a bunch of led's on a control board, stuck in a clear tube. If you crack that tube then yo uwill jsut have a cracked tube..nuthin super bad is gonna happen. But, with neons, that isn't the case. i got 7 color leds, with any patern you want..it's tyte!
