    flat black accord

aight. i want my cb7 to be flatblack. all my projects have had that color. my blazer looked hard. with this accord, i want a twist look to it. flat black, steelies with a beauty ring, and the SI lights in the back, no amber. my question for anyone is how can i get the flat black without having to worry bout peeling or any sort of issues.
a friend of mine told me about hot rod flatz, but its expensive. another told me that some shops at a clear coat mixture with the primer. does anyone have any suggestions
    me, really?

You can do the ghetto spray bomb with spray cans but it will look like hell and only last about a year. The proper way to do it is a matte black basecoat. It will cost as much as any proper paint job. Good concept and goodluck with your project

Yes please post progress. I was thinking about doing this a while ago but I didn't go thru with it because flat black will show every little imperfection on the car. Like right now my cb7 is white. It has some rust in the common honda areas that I am cutting out and repairing, and it has some minor dings and dents. The little dents are very hard to notice because the color and the way the light curves on the shine of the car. With flat black, the light just kinda hits the edge of the dent and makes it easier to see. I would love to see your pics though just so I can get a idea of what it will kinda look like.

please dont spray bomb your car if anything get it all preped and pay to have it painted, when they basecoat it in black baseit is flat anyway it doesnt get a shine to it until you clear it, all they do is add a flattening agent to the clear and spray that over the car just like they would any other base clear job thus you will have the durability of a base clear paintjob you can wash it and wax it and anything you want you cant do that with that spray bomb job and a spray bomb job will look like hell after a little while

you can most def. have a shop spray this special kind of clear coat that protects the paint from fading etc, but a chemical reaction takes place and "cooks" into the paint, so the gloss goes away, keeping the flat black look..

              sounds expensive, but it isnt
