My Grill.

Well today i took my crome trim on my girll into my auto body class for fun and painted it black. just showing you guys what i did..

What i used..
400 grit sandpaper
220 grit sandpaper
Forgot the brand of paint left it in school will update.
here are some pictures tell me what you think will be on my car soon as the f23a1 is done









not the greatest pictures with my phone but tell me what you think.. I only applied three thin coats no primer.

chrome plating hates paint.

only real way to paint it is by stripping it with bleach or taking it down to the bare plastic.

Ha, yeah I did the same thing. Except I took less care in painting, lol.

I took off the grill and just sprayed it with 5 coats of flat black haha, didn't clean it or take it apart...no chips so far.

Looks good. Side note, I used the Metalcast form dupli-color on my grill and it turned out awesome considering the shape of my chrome.

Looks good man, anything is better than chrome in my opinion....
