    Door part broken

Does anyone know about how much it would cost to fix this:

    ?

I just bought the car and didn't notice it until hours after buying it. Looks like someone tried to repair it and did a horrible job.

    Sucks

You can always cut another piece out on another car and have that welded in. Thats what I would do

That's what I would like to do but anyone have any ideas on how much labor would cost?

You'll get more than a dozen answers on here, as we're all in different states and countries. Best thing to do would be to go around to a several local shops for estimates.

I'm not worried about getting an accurate quote just looking for a ballpark range.

The shop I usually go to is closed down and I don't really feel like driving around nor can I really afford it(gas).

having someone weld that on wouldn't be much at all.....50,60 tops....but for that price, just go get another door at the j/y....done deal.

i don't think getting a new door would help him in the case because that part is on the A frame.

                :werd:

Door is not the problem; it's actually part of the car.

Someone quoted me $160, but he was not specific besides saying he'll do it for that much(I don't know if that includes parts).

it'll probably hard for any shop to give a quote over the phone with not seeing how much trouble he's actually getting himself into.

i'd just call around and ask if they offer free quotes if you brought your car in for some work. i know some shops hit you up with a fee for looking at anything.
