Question for all the Body work pro's

I was considering taking off my side moldings (the black part on a dx, running down the side of my car) and shaving it. Now I dunno if bondo is gonna do the job on something like that. Won't that start cracking from the doors opening up and shutting so much. I've seen it done, and damn it looks gangsta, i love it. But is it worth it or should i just paint the molding?

You'll have to weld in sheet metal rather than using bondo, because yes, it will eventually begin to crack

If you going to use Bondo on it, build up the empty space with fiberglass first. If you do it right, it wont crack.

yeah, you gotta weld it, or it'll just fall out. Also, prolly not a good thing to do unless its a show car. Cuz once you get it done, and the first person who dings your car with their door, you'll wanna kill them. I would just say save the money for suspension, brakes or motor.

they have to be welded if you dont want to redo them 20 million times.

ive had mine welded for 2 years and they are still fine.
