Custom trunk swap

I was at the wreckers today and picked up a 93 EXR coupe trunk lid and a flushmount spoiler from an 89 VW Jetta Wolfsburg edition.

I'm swapping out my already 9293 swapped sedan trunk for the coupe and mounting the VW spoiler to the coupe trunk and redding out the tail lights.

Here are some in progress pics. I hope to have it installed later tonight or tomorrow.

There was a rubber one on a VW Fox at the yard a few weeks ago, but it looked kinda like our stock raised spoilers. I did find a rubber flushmount on an 88 Accord at the other yard and I was going to go get it today but they were closed,so I ended up with the Jetta one from the yard I usually go to.

I have the spoiler attached with 2 sheetmetal screws in the holes you can see on the spoiler, and then the underside is double sided taped down to the trunk lid. It's pretty solid, but I still need to run a bead of clear silicone around the edges to prevent water from getting in.

Okay, so here's the semi finished product. Needs paint, emblems and the tails to be redded out or something. I've been sick as fuck since Wednesday, so it's amazing I sucked it up and got this much done.

looks good, any ideas on covering up the screw holes? I need to do something like that since mine curves up at the ends.

bro thats looks good, i have owned bothing but vw's in the past and never thought about this mod b4. good lookin for other people looking for a flush mount., hope you dont mind but i think im gonna see if i cant find out for my 91 lid. now the question is how much are they gonna try and charge me since they make there own prices up where i go..
