    cb9 -> cb7 bumper

    I just got a 92 wagon with a partially melted front bumper...I don't know how exactly it happened, car must've been near a fire cause the right side of the front bumper and the right corner light are both melted. Car's pretty decent other than that.

    Anyway, I want to go and find a new bumper for it, but wagon bumpers are somewhat hard to find. If I go to a junk yard and get a 92-93 sedan/coupe bumper that's the right color, is it gonna bolt up right? I read something about it fitting but fitting really tight or needing some kind of modification to make it fit. If I can find a wagon bumper I'll do that, but otherwise I'll probably have to get a sedan/coupe front bumper. I do have a cb7 at home needing to be stripped some, are there some brackets or something I should grab off of it or what exactly would I need to do to make the bumper fit?

    Also, if I have a sedan/coupe front bumper, am I gonna have any problems running cb7 foglights and intersection lights? Like the housings for them will clear the bumper support and everything like that?

    Thanks!

    92-92 coupe or sedan bumper will fit. You need to use the sedan or coupe reinforcement to make work. You should have no problems with fogs or intersections. People do this alot, because of how long an wide the wagon bumper is. Looks alot better with a coupe/sedan bumper

      Okay.Just for clarification, the bumper reinforcement is a part that can be unbolted easily, right? I'll either pull one from the JY, or of my car. And the coupe/sedan one, is it weaker than the wagon one?

        When you take the bumper off a parts car, the metal inside the bumper is the reinforcement. Use the one that comes with the sedan/coupe bumper and also use those brackets.

        When takeing off the bumper. The bolt behind the lights and the 2 behind the bumper light, and it should come off. Use that complete setup on yours. Nothing from your wagon bumper

          h22wagon93 is correct

          you can use a sedan/coupe bumper 90-93, all will fit

          you just need it complete off whatever car you take it from, only difference between the two is that the wagon bumper is about 1 inch longer than sedan/coupe bumpers

          i have a sedan bumper on my wagon right now

            Is that the sedan bumper in your pic? I wish I would've saved the bumper support from the coupe I stripped this summer, I guess I'll pic one up at the jy with a bumper. Hopefully.

                  I'm up in MN, doubt you're near. I need a few pieces for the wagon actually, there's an import yard near my house though. Gonna check them on Friday.
