Is there any way to take them off the car, crack them open and repaint the orange lens?

I know for a fact that you can open corner lights, headlights and taillights by putting them in a oven and baking them for about 10 minutes and then re-seal them with gasket maker. Since the sidemarkers are made by the same company as the aforementioned, I dont see why using the oven method would be a problem. Check out the blackhousing headlights DIY for specific info.

Are you talking about sidemarkers on the side of the fender, or the corner lenses with the blinker and parking light on the corner of the car? Either way they should be able to be opened. Just be careful cuz if they have been on the car a while an exposed to the elements they may just break.Comment

the side markers can be opened by the back of them.take them out and post a pic of the back .
