5th gen side molding on a 4th gen?

I was at the junkyard and there is this clean white 5 gen coupe. the side molding is mint...got me to thinking...

what if I could fit the 5th gen side molding onto a 4th gen accord?

the length of the molding on the door of the 5th gen is a 1/4 of a inch longer than the 4th gen coupe. clip it a little...

the width of the side molding is a inch shorter on the 5th gen than the 4th gen.


do you think it will work?
