    92-93 Armrest Install

Hey guys, I was wondering is there any way to install the jdm/edm center armrest WITHOUT cutting into your car. I know that p5ylance wrote up the DIY http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=162722 (Which was great btw) but it involved cutting into the car. I was reading in that thread that you can use threaded inserts...can someone explain how this'll work? Maybe a quick explanation. I know I'm not the only guy that wants to know how to install without cutting into the car. Oh and btw I have a 92 coupe if that helps at all. Thanks!

All cb7's come with the holes existing

Some don't have threads in them, its just a hole in the sheet metal

The center tunnle of the car actually has 2 layers, the very bottom part and then another one mounted atop it

Cut a hole into the side of the one mounted atop it and hold a nut under the existing center E-brake hole while you tighten the nut down from the top

its not that hard, suck it up and cut into that piece, you aren't going to cut up anything that matters.

The 90's don't have holes nor thread. Mine didn't and I had to drill. The 91's and later should have holes pre-drilled.
