    Trunk Release Lock

I know most all of the members on here probably shave this off and i plan on doing so as well. My key stopped working in my lock back in Nov and today I finally decided to take it into a lock smith 18.50 later and it works again all i get is " it was damaged, normaly this only happens to exterior locks". I want to know if this is a problem anyone else has run into and how it might get damaged in the future. all i can think is that it somehow got dirt in it and the key damaged it that way even though it has a door to protect against most dirt.

Hard to "shave" that lock due to it being in the brake lens.
Glad that it was a cheap fix. Maybe it was normal wear & tear if you use your lock on a regular basics.
My buddy installed a solenoid/actuator on my lock, I can pop my trunk with my alarm remote. Have not used the door/trunk locks in years.

thats the way i prefer it. I like the little gas pull like in the legend but dont know if that works with the size of ours and the legends. I use a regular door actuator like stated and either that or my key is the only way in my trunk.
