    90 seats in a 93

Got a question for everyone. I have a 93 Accord, and I want the interior out of a 90 at a junkyard. What is involved in swapping the seats? The different seatbelts give me pause.

I believe all you do is swap out the rails of your old front seat with the new ones. Everything else should be a direct swap.

It's a lot easier than you think

My last CB7 was a 1992. Essentially the 90-91s for the US market all had the auto seatbelts. I found a SE black interior and wanted to get rid of the stupid built-in driverside chair armrest and opted for a center console armrest. The seats will bolt in with no modifications whatsoever to the seat rails.

The only thing you would need to do is unbolt the auto seatbelt motors and attach the older seats to the existing rail bolt holes. Use a skinny 90-91 e-brake console only if you wish to retain those bulky belt motors. Or else just unbolt them and the seats are plug n play.

So all 90-93 seats are compatible.

I switched the rails between the seats, so I didn't have to worry about the auto seatbelts. And I wound up using parts of both seats to make a two-tone design. Did the same with my door panels, and it really stands out.

Everything went very smooth, and only required simple tools like a ratchet and screwdriver.

You didn't need to swap the seat rails. The autobelt motors can just come off the existing 90-91 seat. Anyways Looks good and different indeed. Reminds me of my dads oem cloth covers that he put on his leather seats in his 2k coupe.
