how will i do this right , painting fender

Well I have sanded a spare fender to replace the bent up one on my car.

Its all sanded smoothed, Primerd, sanded again with finer sand paper and then it was Primerd to ensure smoothness before paint.

But... I need to be Spesific(SP?) on what the proper procedure is for paint to come out looking right

Would any one know the application procidure that the factory uses to paint the cars?

I am also curious.... after I apply the paint, should I wet sand it BEFORE i apply clear coat or after.... how many layers of paint should i use... what is the best clear coat in a spray can? ( and i dont have a spray gun)

i need this looking shiney to flow with the rest of the car..

any tips would be great, thanit ks.

you need to use a spray gun for the best finsh but 3 or 4 coats will work

sanding w/ 2000 before paint? are you trying to buff primer or something?

scuff it up with 800, spray it, wetsand it, 2nd coat of clear.. buff it w/ 1400 or higher.

ok, don't use a dremel and paint over it.

go over the scratches with 600, then over that with 800.. then prime it. wetsand the first coat of primer, prime it again, paint preferably with a real paint gun, then wetsand that.

                              easy as that.
