front license plates

For all you w/o front license plates, careful there...cops do give out tickets. My friend just got one even though he mounted it behind his windshield. Yes, the fine was quite hefty. I dunno about other states, but the officer told us that the plate must be mounted a certain length from the ground where it is easilly seen.

Has this happened to anyone? And why is it that some corvettes and TA's don't have them?

iv gotten pulled over 2 times in the last 2 weeks becuase of it. i didnt get a ticket either time but its freakin stupid

I don't need a front license plate in PA... hence, why I don't have one... not every state requires it

In MA if you have the green plates you just have 1 plate. That is because they didnt need them for the front. Now any plate you get is red and if its red u need both plates showing. Thats when you just put the front plate in the mapholder behind the seat and show the officer if you get pulled over and tell him you having mounted it.. i dunno

I live in WA, had mine off for a week or 2 now. Havent been bothered yet, and I drive by atleast 2 cops PER day.

They require them in TX, but not in OK.

The fine in the city of Plano, TX for no front license plate as of 1995 was $62... and yes I paid it. I'm sure its triple that amount by now.

haha, we only need the rear plate here in south carolina. i think its the same in georgia, north carolina and maybe florida.

man california is really strict on that stupid law. i dont understand why high-end sports car dont have front plates on their car and its ok. psshhh fucken cops will bust u for the most stupid shit.

in OR. you need the front plate but if your car comes from some place where they dont require them and they dont have brackets, then they cant write you a ticket for it. I was pulled over for having mine in the windshield and the cop said that if i get in a wreck it could fly up and put my eye out.

yeah cali sucks. AND we're the state that cant legalize some shit like some crazy ass swaps. California..we're our own country. Da why i go sideways with my license plate. Ima go jdm sided on my 92-93 bumper this time .....HA!

doin pretty good.. just got back from state college... up there for the modified madness car show, but didn't attend. It was funny seeing all the riced out cars driving around town, but i'm sure some were fast as hell.
