black widow sides - how to make them fit?

i was just wondering if i bought these, if they would fit bolt to bolt. or would i have to modifiy it to fit?

i see alot of you guys have these sides, what did you guys have to do to bake them fit?

uhm. if they're made for your car - they should be a direct bolt.

you may want to support extra if you find they are loose to the touch, but generally if its made for "X" Car for "Y" year with "Z#" doors - there's no mod that needs to be done.

im sure there has to be something about this on the forum already?

    eh. whateva. good luck.

actually they are not "direct bolt on". all aftermarket body kits usually need some type of modification to fit. either custom brackets, drill new holes, whatever you have to do to make them fit you hafta do.

        you're right -- i was unclear.

i just meant that no cutting or extensive modification should be required if your skirts were made properly and are for your car - it's my fault for assuming you'd know about drilling a hole or something minor to mount them

but yeah, sometimes shit happens so you may need to do more - but generally that's it

        my bad.

        good luck

yup. i have been through many kits and the best kits are poly kits not fiberglass. but for the cb7 theres only a few differant companies that make poly kits....and there not that good looking at all. but if you buy from vis usually there side skirts are damn near perfect. you just have to drill holes to mount them and maybe cut a little glass here and there but most likely if you buy from vis there kits just need to be drilled than screwed on. pretty straight forward and the most you will need is a drill, screws and a dremel, and maybe.....yes maybe some metal to fab up some custom brackets. home this helps...good luck.

yeah we didn't even need a dremel (although that has to be the greatest tool ever invented )...

... AND I will say we did have one problem with a back bumper cover from ViS... Which was an inch short on one side so we had to cut it and glass in the extra length - this was on a 6th gen accord, not a cb7, and i am sure that it was just one factory error out of many successes...

otherwise, my experience with anything else they have made has been as good as i can think any fiberglass kit supplier should produce.

I'm not getting into glass vs. poly here... there are plenty of threads on that - im just giving you what i know

yea but like i said..the urathane kits for out cars look like shit imo, i hate the big mouth front and the xenon sides.......yuck. but thats my opinion.

xenon sides are ugly IMO too. you can run my front bumper over with 20 semi's and it'll return back to its normal shape.

do that with fiberglass. also you don't get rock chips nearly as bad as glass.. fiberglass chips, urethane bounces the rocks off.

i've had numberous glass parts on my car.. and ill never go back.

i never said i liked glass i fucking hate it......my point is they make no clean nice kits for the cb7 in poly.....the big mouth sits to high and is god damn ugly......xenon kits suck balls. thats that. your car looked better when it was blue...even though the kit was glass it looked a hell of a lot better. and the headlights on the blue car actually belonged on the car unlike the cc2 headlights wich look out of place. anyways to answer the kids question with glass you will need some modding....with urathane it SHOULD be a perfect fit.
