Ok, I don't exactly have the extra dinero to throw down on a set of Red/Clear tails for my 92 Sedan, one of my local Honda Junkies told me to take apart the OEM Tails and boil the lenses, which will eventually remove the color from them. I tried this on an old 86 CRX lense with no results. I was wondering If this will work on the Accord tails, considering they'd be at least 6 years newer than that old CRX lense, and may have a different method of "tinting" the OEM lense. I want to know before I try because I currently have the altezza's that I got with my car, with no OEM tails, so I'd have to buy OEM tails to even attempt to do this, and if it won't work I'll just wait until I get some aftermarket red/clear tails. Thanks In Advance.

you cant boil the color out.. because they threw color resin in the pot to make the plastic.. so unless you melt the plastic to nothing then it aint gonna happen..
if your good at plastic fabrication you could make a mold and inject plastic that is clear ( like pop bottles)

red/clear faq stickied at the top: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=16550
from that thread:
as crayola-r pointed out, the plastic itself is amber/orange.Originally posted by uncle elyou cannot make the oem tail lights into red/clears... in other words, the amber/orange reflector is not removable.
absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
